Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We are on the hunt for a Women in Engineering Outreach Coordinator to join our Student Development and Engagement team on a part time basis working 12 hours per week. In this role you will be organising and coordinating visits to high schools for the Women in Engineering Network, as well as assisting our high school academic support team. The purpose of our work is to share the benefits of a career in engineering with high school students and the wider school community, so that they have a comprehensive understanding of engineering as a career choice. Along with this, you will be influential in recruiting and managing outreach volunteers, ensuring they have all the tools required to succeed. Relationship building, data collection and reporting on areas of impact are  core elements of this role.

Qualifications

You will have the following:

  • Bachelors degree or related experience
  • Coordinator or administrative experience
  • Outreach coordinator experience, teacher, work experience in science or engineering

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

You will have these skills required for this role:

  • Outstanding presentation skills both written and visual
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Administration – proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel, as a minimum
  • Excellent time management
  • Strong attention to detail
