Fixed-term Vernon Tews Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pharmacy Research
This prestigious philanthropic award is a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, within the School of Pharmacy at the University of Auckland. The Fellow will work with an established academic to deliver a programme of research in the areas of pharmacy practice/ social pharmacy and/or health services research. This opportunity will assist the successful applicant to develop as an independent researcher in a environment of high quality academic achievement.
We seek a candidate who has completed a PhD in a relevant subject and has up to 3 years of postdoctoral research experience in the field of Pharmacy Practice or related areas, in particular in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology and public health. Applicants should be citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand, and be New Zealand qualified pharmacists. Applications from eligible researchers overseas seeking to repatriate to the New Zealand will be welcomed.
You cover letter should:
- briefly tell us a bit about yourself and your interest in the proposed area of research,
- outline how your previous experience and skills align with the area of research, and
- outline what you hope to gain from this Fellowship.
Your application must include:
- a full academic CV which includes current contact detail (address, phone number and email address),
- the contact details for three referees, which must include at least one academic referee,
- evidence of New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency status, and
- evidence of qualification as a pharmacist in New Zealand.
The position is full-time, fixed term for three years, available from July 2019.
