Job Description

Great opportunity for recent IT Graduates and applicants with up to 5 years of work experience in IT:

  • Busy, dynamic and diverse environment
  • 6 month contracting role

COMSMART is a dynamic Wellington and Auckland based organisation which specialises in infrastructure capability, including project management, solution architecture, security governance and architecture, and engineering resource. We are focused on delivering successful infrastructure projects, including hardware platform refresh, infrastructure and application upgrades, through from solution design, proof of concept, to build and implementation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Logging Service Desk calls
  • Troubleshooting
  • Solving Level 1 IT requests (applications and hardware support)
  • Escalating Level 2 and 3 incidents
  • Maintaining and updating technical documents
  • Supporting the team

Key requirements:

  • An IT degree or up to a maximum of 5 years of work experience in an IT environment.
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Windows 7, MS Exchange, MS office, Skype for Business and Active Directory.
  • Experience with Citrix would be ideal.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
In addition to some prior technical experience, we are mainly looking for someone with excellent soft skills. Candidates must have the ability to communicate well and build rapport with end customers quickly, keep a clear head in high stress situations, and great written and verbal communication skills.
Please note that this is a 6 month contracting role. You will have to register as independent contractor with IRD.
