Ko wai mātou?

Te Ao Hou Trust https://www.teaohou.org.nz/ was established in 2003 as a tribal-based Primary Health Organisation (PHO) deriving its origins, vision and values utilising a tribal context as its foundation.  Now adapted into a Whānau Ora community led organisation, it delivers both locally and regionally with the advent of the better, sooner, and more convenient front-line services and whānau ora strategy. Firmly established as a proven community provider within the Ōpōtiki district it offers quality services to inspire our whānau to flourish.

Te āhua o Te Tūrunga

Two newly created positions (Ōpōtiki and Gisborne) have been brought to life in order to implement the ‘Healthy Families NZ’ approach to improve people’s health.  By creating healthier environments in the places that our community live, learn, work and play, the intent is to decrease, and ultimately prevent chronic disease across the East Cape region. Working as part of growing team, the positions work with and alongside local community leaders and champions, to customise, design and implement innovative solutions that are committed to both wide and lasting impacts on the health and wellbeing of our people.
