Student Engagement Co-ordinator
Campus Life is a Service Division that supports an engaging and inclusive campus experience for students at The University of Auckland. Campus Life operates a range of ‘wellbeing services’, such as Accommodation, Counselling and Health Services, that are aimed at removing personal barriers to academic success. It also operates ‘engagement’ services such as support for student organisations, social and sporting events, volunteering and leadership support that are aimed at helping students to maximise the non-classroom dimensions of the university experience.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and creative individual to an exciting opportunity within its Student Engagement Team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Student Engagement Manager, the Student Engagement Co-ordinator will be responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of a range of engagement and enrichment programmes. Areas covered will include:
- Orientation and Transition
- Reward & Recognition
- Volunteering & Service
- Pastoral Care and Welfare

Our ideal candidates will bring:
- A bachelor degree
- Experience working with young people in a pastoral capacity
- Confident computer skills especially in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills which are essential, along with good time management skills.
- Strong relationships building skills, as you be working with a wide variety of students, colleagues and external parties.
Our ideal applicant will also be familiar with the student life cycle and be passionate about excellence and innovation in Student Engagement. We are looking for a potential leader, with drive and a foundation of skills to make things happen and influence others.
