About this role
Due to an internal movement we’re looking for a highly-experienced Strategic Business Partner to work with Ministry business groups.
This is a key leadership position providing people-related strategic advice to our Deputy Secretaries and leadership teams within the portfolio of business groups.
This is a critical role, where you’ll be supporting workforce planning, the development of capability across groups and organisation change to support strong future business performance.
The Strategic Business Partner reports to the Chief People Officer and is part of the People Capability Leadership team and ensures consistent processes and practices across the business.
You’ll also be leading a small team of HR advisors and ensuring delivery of seamless HR support to the business.
You’ll be an experienced human resources professional with a track record of providing credible and trusted strategic analysis and advice at a senior level. You’ll understand business strategy and practice and be adept at building strong working relationships and developing trust and credibility with managers and staff.
We’re looking for an astute, articulate, thought leader and influencer, who anticipates change and proactively develops and implements strategies for building a highly capable, skilled and diverse workforce who has the ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga.
