About our group and team
ICT Strategy, Planning, and Architecture (SPA) work with the Ministry and education sector to ensure clear alignment and connection between business strategy, digital strategy, and digital solution design.
We have recently undertaken a review of our current workforce and have identified a number of roles we need to fill to ensure that our strong delivery commitment is continued at its high standard and as a result of this we are looking for an Solution Architect to join the team.
About this role
Be part of a team providing solutions to the Education Sector.
In this role you will be providing technical leadership in a variety of technologies, Defining best practice and standards. Designing solutions for customers.
Actively promoting, championing and communicating architectures that support the Ministry’s purpose, strategy, vision and values.
We need individuals with strong leadership, sound judgement and professional credibility to engage meaningfully with management and to influence positive change. We are looking for someone who will complement our current team, can present to others at all levels and has had solid experience. You will become part of an already successful group that has the attention of the Leadership team.
You will need to have had solid ICT experience across a range of different technologies (including cloud) in a range of roles across government or commercial organisations and a demonstrable track record in problem solving while leading architecture, design, development and deployment of a wide range of IT solutions in an enterprise environment.
Your work will drive improvements in organisational culture, capability and – ultimately better education outcomes for all New Zealanders.
The world is changing dramatically with it use of digital tools and technologies and the New Zealand Education System is at the forefront of using these new approaches. These roles allow you to be at the centre of working through that change and achieving better outcomes for all New Zealanders, through a smart digital education system.
