Work as part of a team simplifying and enhancing the Education system to ensure that support is available for personalised learner pathways for all children and young people. Supporting the design and implementation of the new service delivery model for learning support will be a core focus.
We are looking for two senior advisors to join the System Innovation team in the Ministry’s Learning Support Group. The fixed term role is available as a secondment (internal/external).
The Ministry of Education is working with our sector partners to build a more inclusive system that is more focused on children’s needs, easier to access, more flexible, and better linked in with other services.
We work with the education and social sectors to ensure that the current $658 million per annum expenditure on learning support is directed to the right support, provided in the right way, to the right children, and at the right time.
Senior Advisers have portfolio responsibilities for a range of programmes and services that support students across New Zealand to belong and achieve in education. You will maintain a national overview of innovation and change across the education system and the wider social sector, and provide advice to ensure the provision of high quality learning support.
We are looking for two motivated and skilled members to join the team to assist us to implement the new approach and to drive progress in a couple of our key portfolio areas. Relevant and valuable experience for these roles would include: policy development, system-level change, sector and stakeholder engagement/co-design, project management.
