We have a fixed-term opportunity in our Wellington office for an experienced Senior Advisor – Communications with a strong understanding of public sector requirements. This is a very diverse role and one that comes with being part of a small team. You will need to be self-motivated, a team player, approachable and have the ability to work with a diverse range of people to deliver high quality communications support and advice.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 4 years proven public sector senior communications experience
- A well-honed understanding of communications practises and processes
- Plain English writing skills for both print and web publication
- Web-savvy, with proven web-publishing and social media experience
- Strong knowledge of government structures, processes, planning and reporting requirements and experience in producing accountability documents
- A sound knowledge of the social, political, cultural, economic, health, education and employment circumstances of Pacific people in New Zealand and the associated issues
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in communications management.
