We are seeking a Senior Advisor Benefits to join Manatū Taonga – Ministry of Culture and Heritage in our Organisational Performance team. You will be supporting the management of benefits across the Ministry and ensure that our projects, programmes and initiatives have well defined benefits supported by robust benefit realisation plans and monitoring processes.

This is a fixed-term opportunity to March 2024 and is based in our historical building on Lambton Quay in the heart of the CBD.

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

This role enables Manatū Taonga to develop a strong focus on benefits management throughout the investment management lifecycle. You will play a key role in engaging across the Ministry to educate and support good benefit management practice for our investments. You will be liaising across the Ministry with our key internal stakeholders including Te Aka Tuhono (Investment and Outcomes); Te Hua (Delivery) and Te Aka (Policy) teams.

Kōrero mōu – About you

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Benefits management planning, monitoring and reporting experience
  • Practical experience delivering New Zealand Treasury Benefits Management products, benefits for Better Business Cases and have working knowledge of Investment Logic Maps
  • Well developed quantitative analysis and reporting skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Power Query, Power BI, or Tableau is desirable
