Schools Advisor – Schools Partnership Office

The University of Auckland Schools Partnership Office is looking for a permanent Schools Advisor to join our animated Recruitment Team.

This crucial role involves travelling around New Zealand Schools advising prospective students about the various programmes, admission requirements and enrolment processes for the University of Auckland. In this position, you will be giving presentations, attending open days and answering questions from students and parents, as well as being involved with a variety of other events.

To be successful in this role, we need someone enthusiastic and hard-working, with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others.  The ability to develop positive relationships with teachers, career advisors, students (and their parents is essential) as you inspire prospective students with the many possibilities a qualification with University of Auckland could afford them.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has exceptional customer service skills and can relate to people from all walks of life
  • Is confident presenting to audiences and can adapt to changing situations
  • Will grow student enrolments through influence by demonstrating passion and true belief in the product
  • A tertiary qualification from a New Zealand university would be highly advantageous

You will be a professional and have very strong organisational abilities as much of your time will involve preparation and planning. The ability to self-manage and work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team will be crucial to your success.
You will also need to be flexible with working hours as the role will include evening and weekend work and time out of Auckland.  A full driver’s license is required.
