About us

Te Puna Hanganga, Matihiko – Infrastructure and Digital, a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $20.1 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

Our vision for school property is that all schools have quality learning environments as part of a well-managed and sustainable portfolio that helps deliver equitable and excellent outcomes for every child.

Mō tēnei tūranga – About this role

The School Property Officer is primarily responsible for administrative and financial processing tasks in support of Property Advisors across the region. This includes processing of schools’ property project documentation, property plans, payment of invoices, scanning, data input and database management, filing and archiving. The role also assists in fostering and managing relationships between schools and the Ministry by responding to queries and information requests.
