Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong commitment to researcher success in a university setting. This role is Fixed Term, and is within the Research Services Team, Te Tumu Herenga, Libraries and Learning Services.
The Research Services team offers a broad range of services to support researchers and postgraduate students. We provide consultations and advice on library collections, resources, and tools to help shape research by enabling discovery, use, sharing and management of information. We develop, implement, and evaluate services and programmes to support research and researchers. And we provide online resources, face to face and virtual workshops

- The ability to work effectively in partnership with researchers
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Experience in presenting or facilitation
- Experience conducting your own academic research (could be as part of postgraduate study)
Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team
You will be working with a team of advisers committed to supporting researchers across all faculties. You will be helping researchers to develop and improve the skills they need to be successful at the University of Auckland.
The team has close relationships with other Te Tumu Herenga teams; Client Services, Learning and Teaching Development, Academic Engagement, and the Digital Engagement & Communication Team. Outside of Te Tumu Herenga the team has collaborative working relationships with the Office of Research Strategy and Integrity, the Planning and Information Office, the Centre for eResearch, UniServices and Faculty/Institute Research Support Teams.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing support to staff and students and who can bring creative thinking into our team. You will have a Postgraduate degree in any discipline. You will be comfortable working in a diverse environment and be willing to learn new skills. We need people with ideas and enthusiasm who are willing to share those with the team. Most importantly, you will be flexible and comfortable with innovation and change.
