Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand’s largest school. We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood level to year 13, including young adult and adult learners.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Term, full time qualified NZ registered Early Childhood Kaiako (Teacher). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Kaiako to be part of our Early Childhood teaching team, based in Wellington.
Your willingness to learn, contribute new ideas, work collaboratively within a team and build respectful and reciprocal relationships are essential to this role. You will need to be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Te Whariki, be digitally literate and capable with technology.

Our Kaiako position description covers all teaching roles at all levels across Te Kura, however in this role your focus will be on delivering Early Childhood teaching in line with Te Whāriki. This position is covered by the Early Childhood Teachers Collective Agreement 2018 -2021.
