Serco has extended its portfolio in Asia Pacific with the opening of Auckland South Corrections Facility (ASCF) in Wiri, South Auckland. It is a state of the art facility, operated on behalf of the NZ Department of Corrections, providing a safe and secure environment for over 960 prisoners.
About the Role
Due to an expansion in the team, we are looking for a Psychologist to provide assessment and treatment services for prisoners to identify and address the factors that led to their offending.
This position is part of a passionate and committed team working alongside other Psychologists and Program Facilitators, providing a comprehensive suite of services to meet the needs of prisoners.
This is a part time role.
Skills & experience
* Essential to be registered as a Psychologist and hold a current practicing certificate
* Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology
* Relevant experience essential
* Knowledge and competency in the assessment and treatment of a wide spectrum of psychological problems and criminogenic needs in adults
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Have highly effective interpersonal skills in a team environment
* A professional attitude and strong commitment to the rehabilitation of offenders
