The Kura Kāwana Elected Member Development Programme is a unique three-year comprehensive development programme for Auckland Council’s 170 elected members, tailored to the Auckland Council governance model. The size and scale of this development programme at Auckland Council makes it leading edge in the field of learning and development for local government in New Zealand.
The Quality Advice programme which is a comprehensive skill development and culture change programme aimed at ensuring our decision-makers, elected and appointed, are properly served with timely, well-analysed, easily understood information and advice.
As a Programme coordinator, you will provide project coordination and administrative to the Kura Kāwana and Quality Advice programme managers and teams. Your main responsibilities will be to co-ordinate and manage logistics for all aspects of the programmes from booking events to analysing evaluation feedback. You will also be designing and developing programme systems and processes and building and maintaining strong relationships with elected members and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Most importantly you will be contributing to the shaping and success of the two programmes.
You’ll be self – motivated with a high degree of initiative and the ability to balance competing demands! You will need excellent processing and planning skills with a great attention to detail. An easy communicator who can collaborate with a wide range of people. At least 2 years’ experience as a programmer coordinator or a similar role. You will have excellent written and communication skills. A savvy professional who learns at a fast pace. Previous local government experience a bonus.
