Health Systems, within the School of Population Health, seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Professional Teaching Fellow to support the organisation and delivery of our Health Services Placement, the capstone course in the Bachelor in Health Sciences (BHSc), and a required course of the degree.
Your responsibilities will include
- Liaising with health organisations to confirm placements, and resolution of any issues around placements
- Assigning students to placements
- Organising and participation in the placement induction, seminars and assignments
- Marking and assessment of course work
Who are we looking for?
Our preferred candidate will have:
- A degree in health sciences, or a related field
- A post graduate qualification in public health, health policy, health management or a similar area would be advantageous
- Experience teaching/tutoring at tertiary level
- Experience of working in the health sector would be a plus; as would be familiarity with the BHSc and the Placement.

This is a permanent position, available on a part time basis at 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week).
This role is based at the University’s Tāmaki Campus, though will relocate to Grafton Campus in 2019.
