About us

Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and ICT enabled learning environments. EIS manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of over 2,100 schools with a book value of $18.3 billion, is responsible for the largest payroll in the country, and transports over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

Our vision for school property is that all schools have quality learning environments as part of a well-managed and sustainable portfolio that helps deliver equitable and excellent outcomes for every child.

About the role

The key focus of the role is in strengthening and supporting Property Programme oversight to best support delivery and to effectively integrate and align systems and processes within the broader needs of EIS.

About you

You will have proven programme management and commercial experience in a large and complex delivery organisation that involved a high need for stakeholder engagement, and relevant professional commercial and/or programme management qualifications. Asset management/Construction experience within the Infrastructure sector will be a distinct advantage.

You will also offer the following:

  • Financial acumen
  • Experience in the use of Business Analytics/Insights platforms
  • Demonstrated complex problem solving, analytical skills
  • Strategic skill with a sound appreciation of end to end sector facing delivery, contemporary management disciplines and enterprise thinking.
