  • Full-time, fixed-term/secondment opportunity (until January 2022) at $141,450 plus five weeks/annual leave (pro rata). Flexible location across Aotearoa New Zealand

Ko tā mātou mahi – Our role

Reporting to the Director Rangatira Relationships, this role will engage with iwi and rōpū to support the establishment of executive-level relationships with key organisations. Ensuring the right tools are in place, supporting the development of stakeholder engagement strategies and plans and maintaining a helicopter view of Kāinga Ora’s key relationships with Māori, will be paramount.

This role will provide both thought leadership and hands-on delivery to ensure the success of the Rangatira Relationships function.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu – What you will bring:

  • Proven experience working with Māori organisations and a track record in supporting successful relationships with a range of Māori groups, particularly at the senior and executive level
  • Experience/a sound understanding of housing and its associated challenges is advantageous
  • Demonstrable ability in stakeholder engagement planning, coordination and facilitation
  • Experience working as a conduit to empower and enable strong relationships internally across large organisations
  • Naturally, you will be competent in tikanga Māori, with an inherent understanding of the implications of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its respective interpretations by iwi/hapu
