Mō te tūnga | The role

The Principal Advisor – Business Planning and Performance, reports to the Senior Manager – Business Insights and Improvement.  This primary responsibility of this role is to deliver integrated planning and reporting across the organisation,  and works in close partnership with senior leaders, and their teams, across the organisation, to enable them to develop and deliver integrated planning and performance reporting metrics.

This is a critical role for the organisation, and to ensure success, building trusted relationships and delivering with and through others will be a significant part of this role.

Starting salary: $107,025 – $125,912 negotiable

 Mōu | About you

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent professional knowledge.
  • Ideally 10 years of experience in business planning and performance role/s, delivering innovative and practical solutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of best practice business planning and performance measurement tools and techniques, and evaluation methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration and presentation skills, capable of understanding complex data and simplifying it into effective stories
  • Demonstrated success in facilitation and coaching to deliver collaborative outcomes.
  • Ability to engage, collaborate and influence across all levels of an organisation.
  • A good understanding of the machinery of Government including public service governance obligations in New Zealand.
