Help shape the future of education

The Ministry of Education touches every person, whanau and community in New Zealand and is a major contributor to improving our society and economy. We do this by working with others to ensure the children, young people and students of the future are competent, connected, life-long learners.

About our group and team

Learning Support is a critical part of the Sector Enablement and Support Group in the Ministry. One in five children and young people receive some form of learning support throughout their early learning and schooling education.

The Strategic Design team is focused on turning policy thinking into action, workforce development and supporting the investment and budget decisions required to make this happen. Our work is challenging and very rewarding and this is a unique opportunity to work at a system level to strengthen the education system’s provision of learning support for disabled children and young people and those with learning support needs
