At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga – Ministry of Education, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whānau.
We shape the policies, settings and performance of the education system for early learning, schooling and tertiary.
We are making significant changes to how we deliver our mahi by doing the following:
- Taking practical action to give effect to te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Giving priority to regional and local voice
- Delivering greater responsiveness, accessibility and integrated services and support
- Improving feedback loops and information flows
About our team
We are a small team that takes people related data and transforms it into information and insights that underpin good business decisions. We focus on supporting the organisation to more effectively source and develop its people through data and analysis.
Mō tēnei tūranga – About this role
Drawing from modern Human Resource data systems, and the latest survey tools, you will collate, analyse and share data and insights. This includes producing monthly statistics, dashboards, survey results, and ad-hoc analyses. We also help the Ministry meet its statutory reporting obligations.
Mōhou ake – About you
We’re looking for someone who is curious about how organisations work and enjoys data analysis.
You’ll be confident in drawing data from source systems, and analysis in Excel. Some experience in using Success Factors, SQL, PowerBI and Qualtrics would be useful.
