An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Student Advisor to join our dedicated Te Tari Takawaenga Māori team. AUT is a contemporary university delivering a unique student experience through an active, stimulating and transforming education. As part of the Student Services & Administration portfolio, the Te Tari Takawaenga Māori team provide case management and comprehensive support of students, contributing to their academic, career and personal success.
This role is crucial not only to student success but to the overall success of our reputation as the University of Choice for Māori. Connecting with a number of services and organisations including the Office for Maori Advancement, Iwi, Hapū and whanau, schools, and communities, this role assesses individual needs, provides first point of contact support and links students with services that will contribute to a positive and successful university journey.
As an outstanding professional with proven success in a similar role, you will bring;
- Demonstrable experience of a case management approach to service delivery
- Inherent knowledge of Te Reo me ona Tikanga Māori
- Aroha and commitment to student success
- Knowledge of University and community-based support services
- Demonstrable experience building great stakeholder relationships
