Job Description

Campus Life is a Service Division that supports an engaging and inclusive campus experience for students at The University of Auckland. We offer a range of wellbeing services (accommodation, health, counselling) that help students overcome personal barriers to success.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to contribute to the ideation of and lead the implementation of student engagement activities delivered by Campus Life’s student engagement team. This will include transition & orientation programs, support services for student groups, student engagement events and leadership and volunteering programs. You will utilise your people-skills and knowledge of best practice within the sector to ensure programmes and activities are relevant, timely and targeted.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build collaborative and positive relationships with a diverse range of different stakeholders
  • Have demonstrated leadership skills and be able to lead conversations and projects across the university
  • Have high level negotiation skills with the ability to positively influence outcomes with people for whom they have no direct authority
  • Be committed to continuous improvement by sustaining the status quo but also being able to identify areas of improvement and implement change
  • Possess excellent customer service skills and have a student-centric mindset
  • Be able to analyse and interpret data to inform business decision making
