Full-Time Manager Learning Support

This is a full-time permanent position based in Nelson.
The Ministry of Education is improving its services for children and young people that require additional support to meet their learning needs.
Working with a diverse range of groups including parents, individual educators and Communities of Learning – Kāhui Ako, health professionals and other agencies the Manager Learning Support will ensure that the right support is delivered at the right time to the children and young people that need it so they are able to achieve their education goals.
We are a seeking dynamic senior leader who is committed to a collaborative approach to education and to putting the best outcomes for our children at the forefront of their work every day.
You will lead a team of Service Managers who have responsibility for approximately 46 staff spread across a large rural/urban region. Your track record of managing complex relationships and managing the co-ordination of service delivery from a range of providers, including independent organisations, private providers and by the Ministry’s own staff will be paramount to ensure that a quality service is delivered for all students in early learning services and schools.
Extensive leadership expertise from working in either the public, social or education sectors is essential.
