In our Department of Accounting we have an established PhD programme, research and professional Masters degrees, and a popular accounting major in the AUT Bachelor of Business with four professional accreditations. Research is a critical component for our Department. We are particularly interested in high quality and enthusiastic academics who like working collaboratively to mobilise opportunities and deliver high quality programmes of teaching and research that connect with the business community and the accounting profession.
You will be PhD qualified and bring with you a strong focus in accounting sub-disciplines such as Financial Accounting, Auditing or Accounting Information Systems. In addition to your specialist research focus in accounting, you will bring a passion for research-informed teaching in programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
You will have excellent communication skills and be keen to contribute towards supervision of research students, therefore, experience in supervising postgraduate students would be an advantage, as would a track record of publications and orientation towards quality service.
