About the role
The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will plan and deliver research-led teaching in composition and music theory according to curricular needs, including (but not limited to) courses in composition, orchestration, instrumentation, harmony, form & analysis, and 20th/21st century styles & techniques, as well as courses and supervision at the postgraduate level, such as composition, analysis, pedagogy of composition & theory, and others such as sonic arts, film and gaming music, as needed.

We are seeking applications from candidates who hold a doctoral degree in music theory or composition for the position of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer. This role will provide students with opportunities to develop their knowledge and understanding of music in contemporary society and with the necessary resources and skills to enable them to undertake further enquiry, research and work-related practice
About the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries
The Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries is the centre for creative research, teaching and practice at the University of Auckland. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate study of a wide range of creative disciplines within our Schools of Architecture and Planning, Fine Arts, Music and the Dance Studies Programme.
