Job Description

The School of Education Te Kura Mātauranga in the Faculty of Culture and Society, Auckland University of Technology, is a leading provider of education programmes at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

We are seeking applications for one position, mainly teaching into the Bachelor of Education (ECE) programme. Applicants should have suitable professional experience and expertise in early childhood education. The successful applicant will demonstrate a willingness and ability to implement Te Whāriki in keeping with a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Current teacher registration with the New Zealand Teaching Council is a requirement. The successful applicant will be expected to visit and assess student teachers on practicum experiences.

This is a Fixed Term Position for one year to support the delivery of School of Education B.Ed Early Childhood programmes from the North Shore and South campuses, including a core B.Ed language and culture course. Applicants may have either a Masters’ or doctoral degree, may be research-active, and willing to make a contribution to the academic community of the School of Education. Previous ITE experience and the ability to contribute to leading student-teacher practicum experiences will be an advantage.

The role commences on 1 February 2022.
