Kaiwhakahaere Mātua – CEO
Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua (TRONR) is the mandated Iwi authority of the Iwi Ngāti Rārua who are from Te Tau Ihu o te Waka a Maui and of Tainui waka. The role of the Rūnanga is to care, uphold and enhance the mana, the assets and the whānau whānui of Ngāti Rārua. Our Iwi membership is 2,000 and TRoNR is responsible for a diverse portfolio which includes land, aquaculture and managed funds.
Reporting to the Chair of TRONR, applications are sought from energetic, driven individuals with outstanding leadership capability, who can inspire fresh thinking and action.
We are looking for someone who will be based in Te Tau Ihu (top of the South Island) who can lead and deliver the strategy of TRONR that will realise a prosperous social, cultural, environmental and economic future for our Iwi. You must have the ability to demonstrate proficiency and understanding of Te Reo me ona tikanga. You and your exceptional communication, engagement and relationship management skills will allow you to be able to connect effectively with our diverse range of key stakeholder groups. In addition, you will have experience in managing budgets, commercial acumen and proven ability as a Senior Manager, General Manager or CEO equivalent.
