Job Description

College of Humanities and Social Sciences

We are looking for just the right person to join our team.

  • Are you passionate about tamariki children and their educational success?
  • Are you an experienced early years facilitator or educator?
  • Do you relish supporting kaiako teachers and tamariki to enable them to achieve great outcomes in early education?

Tatai Angitu offers high-quality dynamic professional learning, development and support designed to respond to the needs of the education sector. We support professional learning through actively linking knowledge with opportunities and need to support kaiako, whanau family and ultimately tamariki. We do this through large government-funded contracts, short courses, bespoke solutions for early learning services, kura, schools and communities. We work in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas, particularly in the Pacific.

Do you thrive in complex environments, are you able to juggle various tasks at one time, balance a range of functions and look after critical details whilst maintaining an eye on the ‘big picture’?

We are looking for someone with a particular strength in the area of early years education, specifically in leadership using cultural frameworks, Maori and/ or Pasifika cultural intelligence and local curriculum. A strong knowledge and application of Te Whariki, planning and assessment, as well as an in-depth understanding of internal evaluation leading to change is essential. This role involves working across a variety of early learning settings, including Maori medium and Pasifika contexts, as well as the possibility of utilising these skills across other Tatai Angitu projects.

The position requires travel across a variety of geographical locations with regular travel to Palmerston North for team development days and meetings.

The role is a 24 month, full-time (37.5 hours per week) fixed-term position.

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to develop your own skills and be part of a team of highly motivated, professional facilitators dedicated to improving educational outcomes for tamariki and whanau through strengthening teacher knowledge and practice.
