Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand’s largest school. We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood level to young adults, and adult learners.
Our vision and goal is to enable our students to achieve both their educational and personal goals, empowering them to become engaged and contributing members of our communities.
We have a vacancy for a kaiako (teacher). We are looking for a kaiako with strengths in Te Reo Maori who understands, and is passionate about, ‘3.0 Education’ pedagogy and is able to deliver authentic, student directed learning programmes in an increasingly online environment.
Your willingness to learn, innovate, work collaboratively and build relationships, along with a sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and assessment requirements is essential. Recent experience in teaching Te Reo Maori at NCEA Level 1 to 3 is required.
