Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand’s largest school and provides personalised and authentic learning programmes from early childhood to NCEA Level 3, including young adult and adult learners.
We have a vacancy for a Kaiako Matua (Senior Teacher) to join the Central North Region. We are looking for a Kaiako Matua of Mathematics & Statistics who understands, and is passionate about, current pedagogy and is able to deliver authentic, learning programmes in an increasingly student directed online environment.

You’ll interact with students at advisories, communicate with them using online tools and guide a group of students as their Learning Advisor. Interested in authentic learning, you model current pedagogy and are always coming up with new ideas. You’re enthusiastic, collaborative, understand the key competencies of the New Zealand curriculum assessment practice and are committed to improving education outcomes for students.
