The Ministry of Education is looking for a Junior Project Manager who will be totally invested in the whole project process. You will support the Pay Equity Programme team leading the secretariat function, oversee reporting, and support delivering project and programme artefacts.
You will join a lively team of Project Managers. The work is fast paced and demands a high level of technical excellence. You will liaise between the stakeholders and you will have an input into development, project management and pay equity issues. You will be supported by a Programme Administrator.
The ideal applicant will have experience in a project environment in the public sector, working in a project/ programme coordinator capacity or as a junior project manager. A strong eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and an ability to work through challenges and meet deadlines will be essential.
Ideally your skill set will include managing procurement, leading the secretariat function, drafting project and programme artefacts. You will be familiar with project reporting cycles, control books, and formal controlled change process.
You will need to have a strong working ethic and an ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment. This team is high performing and agile, and really pull all their resources together to achieve results; so you must be a genuine team player. No two days will be the same and you will be working in an ever changing and evolving environment.
