Do you have the ability to see the “bigger picture” behind the information presented to you? Do you have an eye for detail, analytical skills and that “hunch” that something is not as it should be? These qualities, plus a natural passion and enthusiasm for New Zealand could lead to an exciting career at Immigration NZ.
As an Immigration Officer responsible for processing visa applications, you’ll be using your skill of gathering high volumes of information to make sound visa processing decisions. Strong written and verbal communication is essential as interviewing and communicating with our clients is a key component to the role.
Our purpose is to grow the New Zealand economy so that Kiwis have a better standard of living, and our businesses perform better, both here and overseas. As an Immigration Officer, you’ll be using immigration legislation, strong analysis, judgment and decision making skills to make quality immigration decisions.
You may have gained experience in a high performance, customer service delivery environment; or in a processing environment. Ideally you’ll have a tertiary level qualification but what’s most important to us is your analytical thinking, eye for detail and the ability to make sound decisions based on a range of information. Above all, you need to be someone of integrity.
We have a number of opportunities available due to the recent expansion of our Hamilton based offices and offer extensive training including on-going on the job training.
Applicants must be NZ citizens or permanent residents.
