Human Resources Projects Consultant – Fixed Term

The Role

Reporting to the HR Design and Change Manager, and working with a small team of professional organisational change and development specialists, this role will support the University as we review multiple aspects of our current structures to ensure we are primed to meet our strategic goals. A key focus of this position is to assist with organisational redesign and development projects, including a review of Technical Services and professional support for Teaching and Learning, in addition to various other function reviews.

This is a period of significant organisational change for the University, therefore the successful applicant will need to have a comprehensive understanding of large and complex organisations and the ability to support managers and staff through organisational change processes.

Our Ideal Candidate

As a seasoned, and highly experienced HR practitioner you will have held a senior Human Resource position in a large and preferably unionised environment. You will be able to demonstrate capability in developing and implementing HR change strategies aligned to strategic objectives, with proven skill in the delivery of complex change programs and projects. We are looking for someone who had a solid understanding of organisational development, change management and who has experience facilitating restructures.

The successful applicant will likely be:

  • Experienced in supporting reorganisations from design to implementation
  • Equipped with extensive knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations
  • Experienced using HRIM systems and analytics / data reporting to support effective decision making
  • Resilient and able to use their initiative under pressure to problem solve
  • Skilled in communicating with and influencing a diverse stakeholder group and be confident in presenting and dealing with all levels of staff
  • Tertiary qualified in HR Management, Business Studies, Psychology or equivalent.
