The People and Culture team are looking for two experienced HR Advisors.
Based at the East Tamaki Campus, this role supports the business areas of Academic, Māori and Pasifika. Reporting to the Head of HR, the role is a critical part of the People and Culture team, leading and driving the People & Culture strategy for MIT within the Academic, Māori and Pasifika portfolios.
You will have influence across the full spectrum of HR, working with the other areas of the People and Culture team such as Culture and Development, Talent, Employee Experience and Safety and Wellbeing. Your focus will be to work with the Head of HR to implement People and Culture strategies in the Academic, Māori and Pasifika areas with an emphasis on:
- Supporting line managers and staff as they adapt to a new way of working
- Supporting capability development
- Educating managers and staff to effectively utilise P&C processes to drive a positive employment experience
- Working with managers to drive improved business performance and high levels of engagement
- Supporting talent and workforce development
- Assisting the ER Advisor with the Employee Relations agenda.
This is a highly collaborative role and requires someone who enjoys working in a team whilst still being able to work autonomously. You will thrive on making a difference and building strong relationships that help you build networks across the Institute. The successful candidates will be results orientated whilst being creative with outcomes working closely with people leaders to continually analyse, prioritise and respond proactively to the needs of the business. As a key face to the business the role will be an advocate for people development, change and people leader capability. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HR Advisory capacity is crucial along with an positive can do attitude ready to jump into a new role boots and all to make your mark!
