Head of Practice Pathway – Social Practice

The purpose of your role
Our Head of Practice Pathway – Social Practice (HOPP) leads the Social Practice department. This educational leadership position demonstrates Unitec’s clear commitment to delivery of high quality, professional programmes that meet the needs of employers, locally, regionally and nationally, through leading areas in academic social work, community development, counselling (narrative practice), and mental health and addiction.
As Head of Practice Pathway you’ll drive Unitec’s strategy and our aspiration to provide an exemplary experience for our Social Practice students.
You’ll lead a team to ensure Unitec is recognised as an institution that values, promotes and supports learning – while fostering intercultural understanding, and preparing all students to work and live in an increasingly complex, and interconnected world. You will be experienced in Social Practice education and be confident managing complexity with a flair for leading and motivating people.
