The Faculty of Science at the University of Auckland is the largest and most highly ranked science faculty in New Zealand. The 10 departments and schools that form the Faculty of Science represent the breadth and diversity of science in our modern world. We have an opportunity for an organised and personable team leader to join our Group Services team and oversee the day to day processes within the Faculty.
Reporting to the Group Services Manager, the Team Leader role is based at the City Campus and will manage and provide staff leadership for the general administrative support for Academic Heads, Course Directors, Academic Staff and students within schools/departments to support strategic teaching and research activities.
Our ideal candidate will have relevant administrative experience within a large and complex organisation. The ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders while managing expectations will be key to your success in this role.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent time and self-management skills and preferably an understanding of tertiary processes and systems. You will share an office with other Group Services staff, and there is an emphasis on teamwork and flexibility to accomplish tasks and provide a high level of service.
