Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and ICT enabled learning environments. EIS manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,500 schools with a book value of $20.1 billion, is responsible for the largest payroll in the country, and transports over 100,000 students to and from school each day.
Capital Works manages the planning and delivery of major redevelopments, new builds and infrastructure upgrades for New Zealand schools as part of the Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), one of the largest property portfolios in New Zealand. Mō tēnei tūranga – About this role
The Delivery Team Manager (DTM) is primarily responsible for a delivery team who will collectively contribute to the delivery of your team’s allocated projects. You will be responsible for the tactical organisation of resources (e.g. the DTM may also directly deliver projects) ensuring optimum utilisation and delivery of projects aligned with the Capital Works vision and values.

You will have extensive experience in all stages of project management delivery and proven skills and experience in leading and managing a team of professionals and critically important stakeholders at a project level.
You will also offer the following:
- Excellent success in leading and managing a team of professionals
- Proven success in leading and managing a team of professionals and critically important stakeholders both at a programme and project level
- High level technical understanding of the New Zealand building industry, design and building processes
