Safekids Aotearoa is the injury prevention service within Starship Child Health (Auckland DHB). Partnering with a national network of community providers, we design and implement programmes at a national level that have a potential impact on the safety of children. Our mission is to reduce the incidence and severity of unintentional injuries to children aged 0 to 14 years, so children of Aotearoa are free to enjoy their childhood without being adversely affected by unintentional injuries.
As our Safekids’ community programmes continue to grow and thrive, we have an opportunity for an efficient and driven Community Programme Co-ordinator to provide project management and logistical support to ensure the effective implementation of these programmes. This is a fixed-term opportunity for the duration of one year and will work closely with our Community Engagement Advisors.
As the Community Programmes Coordinator you will be involved with project management alongside procurement and logistics co-ordination. You will manage customer service tasks to ensure the ordering and delivery of resources, and you will both monitor and report on key programme data. You will have regular contact with the community providers we work alongside and play a key role in supporting them in the delivery of child injury prevention programmes.
