The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Timor-Leste (CCI-TL) is an umbrella orgainsation which represents business associations in Timor-Leste. They represent needs of their members in policy advocacy. CCI-TL also provides a range of business services which aim to enhance skills, knowledge and performance of their member associations to achieve private sector growth.

On this assignment, your main aim is to assist with the communications and promotion of CCI-TL in increasing membership, and participation at events and workshops. You will provide one-on-one mentoring and training to the Stakeholder Communications Advisor that will enable them to develop and implement a communications plan, create media guidelines and draft content for reports, newsletters and other documents. Through in-house training of relevant staff, your support will help the Chamber build their communication capacity and effectively engage with existing members, stakeholders and the public.

We’re looking for a volunteer with:

  • Qualification in communications or a related discipline or relevant work experience
  • Experience developing and implementing communication plans
  • Experience mentoring and coaching people with different levels of ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience developing media relationships

This is a 2-year assignment in Dili, Timor-Leste.
