AN EXPERIENCED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST WITH AN INTEREST IN FORENSICS
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist operating at the top of their profession, with strong clinical abilities and a sound understanding of the Mental Health Act, clinical governance, and quality processes with an interest in forensics.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, your role with be to provide and fulfil generic and discipline-specific specialist mental health assessment and treatment in relation to the bio-psychosocial well-being of whaanau with an identified psychiatric illness and assessment of those referred for diagnosis.
As an Experienced Clinical Psychologist working for the kaupapa you will be able to utilise and expand your clinical skills; you will also have the opportunity to develop specialised cultural service delivery interventions.
The successful applicant will have a professional approach and work collaboratively with other personnel to ensure the best possible support is provided for service users. The successful applicant will exhibit high personal and professional standards in accordance with professional best practice, and suit confident communicators who can accurately record their work in a clinical management system.
We are a kaupapa Maori service, we believe that having a diverse work force allows us to support individuals and their whaanau. The ability to speak Te Reo is not a prerequisite and you may not have previous experience in a kaupapa Maori environment but if you have a desire to understand and support Tikanga Maori this may offer you an opportunity to grow within the kaupapa.

- Registered with the New Zealand Psychologist Board;
- Current Annual Practising Certificate;
- 1 + years post-registration experience in mental health – assessment and treatment;
- Able to process clear written records of interventions in line with best practise standards.

- Must comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014 and have a clean Police Vetting record, this will include any charges under the * Criminal records (Clean Slate ) Act 2004
- Hold a current, clean full New Zealand Driver’s License, as driving is a requirement of this position.
