Volunteers must be a NZ citizen or permanent resident.

About this assignment:
Work alongside World Vision Solomon Islands to implement their “It Takes a World (iTaW) Campaign.”
In this hands-on role, you will help design activities and education materials to support the iTaW Campaign, which aims to protect children from physical and sexual violence in the home. Part of this work will involve monitoring and reporting on campaign progress, as well as engagement with government and regional bodies to improve the implementation and enforcement of laws and policies to prevent violence against children. Through on-the-job training, you will help to build the capacity of World Vision staff, including developing child protection guidelines.
This assignment offers a rewarding opportunity to support healthy communities through protection and prevention of violence against children.
This is a 2-year assignment based in Honiara.
We are looking for a volunteer with:
- Experience developing and/or implementing activities to increase awareness on the rights of children
- Experience supporting/working with organisations on monitoring, reporting and response with respect to child protection
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to mentor one-on-one
