Māori Television seeks a high performing Chief Executive Officer with demonstrated experience in leadership, strategic planning, and the organisational, operational and technical skills to help maintain its position as an innovative and successful Māori media organisation.
Māori Television has an unwavering focus on profiling the Māori language and culture to a broad viewing audience. At a time of unprecedented global change in the industry, this is an opportunity for a person of vision to support the strategic repositioning of the organisation and lead its future growth.
You will be fluent in te reo Māori with depth of understanding and knowledge of tikanga Māori. You will have a passion for advancing the success of Māori through the promotion and protection of their language and culture, and at the same time enriching the unique identity of Aotearoa New Zealand.
You will inspire leadership in others while developing a strong organisational culture, aligning a team of talented people to the underlying purpose of Māori Television. Delivering content via multiple platforms, that appeals to audiences everywhere for its ability to inform, educate and entertain from a uniquely Māori perspective will be your priority.
Your style is to work collaboratively to build effective relationships across the public and private sectors including with Māori organisations and communities. Strong business and commercial acumen is required to forge strategic partnerships and commercial relationships that will support the success of Māori Television.
