Job Description

Change Manager

Job Ref: 29791

We are looking for a Change Manager to join our Change Management Practice within the Change PMO.

About the role:

You’ll be working with projects and our partners to deliver better outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.

Working with others you’ll advocate for the ‘doers’ – knowing that the outcomes Oranga Tamariki need to deliver for our tamariki, rangatahi and whānau will often be through the doers (Oranga Tamariki frontline, partners and iwi).
As such, you’ll support projects to develop and deliver on plans that maximise adoption, minimise resistance and disruption and of course deliver to our outcomes.

About you:
We have a lot of important work to do, so to be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience with a range of  change management activities including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, communications, learning, change leadership and people readiness.
  • Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of working in partnership with iwi/ Māori (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori (advantageous).
  • An adaptive, positive and collaborative style of working – be a team player.
  • Strong communication and delivery skills.

About us:

Oranga Tamariki—Ministry for children works to advance the wellbeing and positive long-term outcomes of tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau.

In everything we do, the safety, wellbeing and best-interests of children are paramount and we are committed to working with others to achieve this. As we are in the middle of an incredible transformation, now is an exciting time to join and help us in our work.

Why work for Oranga Tamariki:

  • Supporting tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau is at the heart of what we do.
  • We don’t work in isolation but with our communities and partners, particularly iwi and Māori to deliver the best outcomes.
  • Flexible working opportunities makes it easier for you to work from where you need to be.
  • The people you will work with have the same end goal – to do the right thing for tamariki and rangatahi.
