The Career Development and Employability Services (CDES) goal is to assist students and graduates to develop their capabilities to successfully self-manage and navigate their world of work, life and learning. This helps them realise their potential, be positive contributors to local, national and global communities, and move towards a personally determined and evolving future.
Due to recent changes, we are looking for an admin superstar to join our fun, collaborative and high performing team. A key focus of this role will be supporting the organisational aspects of work integrated learning opportunities, including virtual internship programmes. These opportunities will require you to successfully manage relationships with our third-party providers, internal stakeholders and participating students, and oversee related activities and processes.
Working close with our receptionist – who will report into you – you will also oversee the team’s financial processes, including debt management, and coordinate CDES’s administrative systems and processes to deliver proactive, high quality, co-ordinated services to students and key stakeholders.
This role will work across and support the entire CDES team, so it’s essential that you are happy to jump right in, roll your sleeves up, and do what needs to be done!

You will have:
- Experience working in a fast-paced work environment, requiring high levels of customer service delivery
- Experience working in a large organisation or a tertiary environment
- The ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
- Previous experience in handling invoicing and purchase orders
- Relevant qualifications in administration, software, office systems and processes (advantageous)

- A pro-active and flexible approach to work and ongoing learning
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing / negotiation skills
- Strong customer service focus with excellent organisational skills
- An ability to work using own initiative to solve problems requiring judgment and interpretation of established information
- Good technical skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Well-developed written and oral skills and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team
