Foundation North www.foundationnorth.org.nz holds in trust for the Auckland and Northland communities, an endowment of over a billion dollars. The endowment, allows for millions of dollars in grants each year to not-for-profit groups based in these areas with over $48 million being granted over the last financial year.
Supporting the work of community organisations, both large and small, Foundation North take an intergenerational view of the needs and aspirations of communities and are working toward supporting the communities of today to shape the communities of tomorrow.
This role sits within the funding unit and is supported by the Community Funding Manager and Pacific Strategy Activator. Underpinned by the Foundation’s 15-year Strategic Plan, and the Pacific strategy that aims to strengthen Pacific communities, you will be joining an established team of seven advisors who strengthen relationships to achieve projects of scale and provide funding recommendations to the Foundation’s Trustees.
This position has a particular focus on engagement and relationship management with Pacific communities.
Alongside your cultural expertise, you bring knowledge and involvement in Pacific communities. Your excellent communication skills and natural relationship building ability, coupled with your analytical and rational thinking style will ensure timely delivery of quality funding assessments reports and recommendations. Having previously worked as an advisor, or similar position, your evaluative and collaborative approach will be highly valued.
