About our group and team

Te Puna Ohumahi Mātauranga – the Education Workforce group supports the building of a workforce with the capability and capacity to lift student achievement. The group is comprised of teams for Workforce Strategy and Planning, Teacher Supply, Contracts and Implementation, Employment Relations and Pay Equity.

The Contracts and Implementation team is responsible for managing and administering the TeachNZ scholarship and teacher study awards programmes, as well as a range of other initiatives that are focused on lifting the number, diversity and calibre of the education workforce, using workforce data to tailor existing incentives, or to establish and shape the direction of new projects and initiatives.

Mō tēnei tūranga – About this role

As the Administrator, you will be fully engaged in the day-to-day processing of applications and/or payments, where key timelines and timeframes are met in order to deliver the work programme.

Mōhou ake – About you

We are seeking someone who is technically competent, organised and flexible, with the ability to juggle a number of tasks at the same time. You will bring a very strong customer service focus and the ability to develop and manage trusted relationships with a broad range of people, including Māori and Pacific Peoples. Experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
