Part-time, 20 hours per week
Fixed Term: February 2019 – December 2019
Monday to Friday – Morning shift 7.30 am to 11.30 or 8.30am to 12.30am

We currently have a vacancy for a part-time, Area Assistant (Receptionist) to provide reception support to our Accommodation management teams to the end of the year.
The Area Assistant role supports the administrative duties throughout their residential area and provides administrative support to the Area Manager when needed. Reporting to the Area Manager, the Area Assistant also works closely with the wider accommodation team, in particular, the administrators. This role acts as the friendly, professional ‘face’ of University accommodation for residents, visitors, and contractors. Interacting with and supporting students is an essential component of the role, as well as general reception duties.
Other responsibilities include:
- Database and spread sheet management
- Collection of residential fees as required
- General administration/customer service related to the running of Accommodation.
Exceptional time management and organisational skills are required and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential. This role is an ideal entry level position for a customer service focused candidate with an aptitude for communication, who is seeking to develop their administration skills.
