<p>You’ll be part of a high performing team focused on supporting our frontline staff and making a real difference to special education services in New Zealand.</p>
<p>In the role you’ll be:</p>
<ul>
<li>Marketing and promoting the awards and scholarships</li>
<li>Managing the day to day operations, including application and assessment processes</li>
<li>Developing and monitoring contracts for specialist qualifications</li>
<li>Evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the study award and scholarship programmes, and contributing to our specialist workforce development strategy</li>
<li>Providing quality advice, information and support to Ministry staff and the wider special education sector.</li>
</ul>
<p>You’ll need to be able to see the big picture and deal with the detail and:</p>
<ul>
<li>Build and manage relationships with a variety of staff and stakeholders across the education sector</li>
<li>Analyse data and develop ideas and strategies to improve services</li>

<p>The successful applicant will provide specialist advice and guidance to children and young people with sensori-neural or long term conductive hearing loss, their families and support services.</p>
<p>A Postgraduate degree in Special Education (Sensory Disability) and a Diploma of Advisor on Deaf and Hearing Impaired Children or equivalent qualification is required.</p>
